Hans brings over 20 years of international leadership experience in biotech and life science industry in different geographies, with an emphasis on business, and strategic development & alliances. 

Prior to founding S 4 Strategy and his collaboration with DS Octant, Hans lived and worked in the USA for 7 years as Vice President Business & Strategy – Americas for DSM Bio-based Products & Services and Joint Venture Director for POET-DSM Advanced Biofuels. He built and led new biofuels business in USA, established and managed $350MM cellulosic ethanol JV including its large capex projects for ethanol production and on-site manufacturing of enzymes

Hans’s experience also includes strategic projects (M&A) and finance, for DSM’s antibiotic division and an international food company for the airline industry.
